A tribute to a good friend's dad.

A good friend of mine's dad passed on Sunday. He was an avid outdoorsman and just a good guy, not that old realy at 62. I asked if he would like to have a pen out of deer antler, that was his favorite thing to hunt. My friend said that it would be nice so this is the result. Laser engraving done by a friend at no cost. The pen kit is a european in black ti. Any comments are welcome.
It was going to be for the book signing but my friend said he could not risk it walking off, then he sliped it into his pocket.

Nicely done. The head and hoof-prints on the back are an especially nice touch. The turning and finishing look great, and that's got to be one of the best looking pieces of antler I've seen. I'm sure it is appreciated.
