I was going to say, "You have no idea," but then thought better of it. You DO have an idea.

This is some figured persimmon I found on ebay. Even though I stabilized the bejabbers out of the blank, I had to get pretty creative with CA to deal with the soft spots.

Beautiful. Say, does the texture of the wood change with the color?? You are quite an artisan to work with the changes.

Yeah, the orange spots are about the consistency of the detritus that collects in the grooves of a drill bit. When that stuff flies out you are left with a huge "worm-hole."
