Took a break and did some turning!

Here's a few that got turned today.

Here's my 1st try at casting snakeskin. I used a peice I got from my buddy Kevin (gtmustang) a while back. I was able to not get any bubbles and had a hard to see seam. I screwed up when I milled the ends. I should have sanded, I knew to sand, I just forgot to do it:redface:. It still looks pretty good so I put it on an Executive kit:

This was an extra blank from an order I had. I liked the color combo so I turned it to see what I'd get:

Then I finished my Pith pen for BuckoBernie (just a lil teaser...)

Last are a couple of SS stoppers I made for my boss. She wanted one for red wine and one for white wine. The one for white wine I made seethrough with a pearl swirl inside. I've gotta tweak how I did it to help conceal the threads though. I painted the inside of the blank and the actual threads but it's just that you can see them and know what they are. Gonna work on that later...they were very well recieved earlier today btw.

Good work on the snakeskin! I wanna see what you can do with a scorpion or two! I plan on attempting one as soon as I can set up some kind of casting rig.
