Today's pine cone

Just finished this evening.
This is an open Knobby Pine cone that was cut into quarters and cast with metallic red powdered pigment. The open leaves give a really unique appearance. The kit is a Jr. Gentleman.

That's great Russ! The Coulter pine cones have a huge core, but they aren't very long (at least down here) I can usually get 4" of solid wood out of mine. Please post pictures when you are done!

this is what I just bought. Mine is 11" I have another that I picked up near Big Bear, Ca 43 years ago. My wife won't let me touch it.

the more and more i see these cone blanks makes me want to go out and get one to try myself! I know ExoticBlanks sells them, but he's almost out of everything. Anyone else sell them?
