Must be a local collocquialism! To tinkle the ivories = to play a pianner
& we also tinkle....lol

I think you mean "TICKLE the ivories" not tinkle.

Just googled, both seem to be used... Tinkle just seems wrong to me considering the other use for the word.
I assumed it was a typo, guess I know what that makes me.
