This first one was for my wife's best friend. She chose the blank and kit. It's a gun metal and gold cigar with a Texas elm worthless wood.

This one is a Beeswing Nara on a Tycoon. Not a big fan of this kit. The two ends on the lower barrel almost crushed in the pen press.

This is my first Koa and fountain pen. It's in a copper junior gent II. I really like that playing.

Overall I'm happy with them but I need to work on my truing of the ends and finish. C&C welcome.

Thanks Mike. I got it from Griffin Exotics. I think it was the curly Koa. It was nice to work with. Not really interesting until the walnut oil hit it. Then it just kind if blossomed!

what methodology are you employing to true up your blanks/tubes?

A bit of a disc sander and mill on a cordless drill depending on how delicate the pieces are. Sometimes it works sometimes not.
