I really like the grain in that one. Beautiful job. Funny how it disappears tho'!!! Must be the refill with the invisible ink!

Went to your album and saw it. It's another well crafted pen, but are you sure it's spalted maple? By the way, that's 3 hits today. One more and you've got "the cycle".

Yes, Lou, it is spalted maple. My blanks came from David Borek a while back. It darkened when I used sanding sealer and BLO on it. In reality it almost looks like the pith in some antler along the darker edge of the lower barrel. I want to try using a digital camera in the future to try and give a better picture of the pens. Many of mine look better in real life. Kirk[8D]
