I just turned these slimline pens for a close friend of mine. He is having a benefit next week for his little granddaughter who has an incurable disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome. I am hoping he can auction these off at the benefit. The benefit is to defer the cost of travel for his son and his family to travel to California for treatment in a clinical trial. I am also going to make several wine toppers for him. I new at turning since March 2018 and I think these pens turned out fairly decent. They are finished in 8 coats of "Aussie Wax" and three coats of carnuba wax. I was going to do a CA finish but I think I like the "wood-feel" versus the "plastic feel". Feedback is more than welcome.
