I love it when friends come through with parts. It doesn't hurt to take a nice buck now and then, yourself. Of course if it's a NICE Buck, well, you make a hat/coat rack and call the friends who provide parts!!!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: The Buffalo Horn and the Acrylic, Antler Inlay are on .308 Winchesters with Sierra Tranny and Cigar clip hardware. The Dissected Antler is on a Remington .223 Casing and uses a 7mm twist mechanism

Thanks for the compliment. The overall length of the pen is 3/32 longer than a standard cigar, and about 3/8 over the Sierra. The top part looks long because it is long. Top barrel from shell casing head to bottom of clip is 71.75mm. More or Less!!!!! But with the .308 casing trimmed to 2.008 " It plays very well. The dissected antler is 1/4 inch shorter than a sierra. My wife has already laid claim to this as she likes a small diameter pen. .223 casing 56mm Antler total 70mm. Reason for dissection is to be able to epoxy the short piece to the bottom section of the tranny. Otherwise it would be use two different size tubes or leave about 3/4 inch of cap un-tubed. Seemed a bit fragile to me. I'm still open for suggestions on a better way to finish this area. Keep in mind the 56mm casing requires most of the tranny to extend from the casing.
