In the past I have cast up some of the 2nd amendment blanks as gifts. The people who received them really liked them, but I wasn't totally happy. Here are a few new ones I have tried recently. All were made from the W&W 30-06 bullet pens using good old American woods: maple, hickory, and pecan. I laser etched a few different designs using the rotary jig.

Glorious Pens David.
Superb Laser Etching, Fit and Glorious Finish.
Excellent Clarity with the Images, and Lettering.
Certainly a Step up from the Decals.
Is your 4th axis, and "add on"? or was it part an original part of your Laser?
Excellent Choice of Blanks, Extremely Sympathetic for Laser Etching, and Presenting a Perfect Background.
Congratulations,
Brian.

Brian, I am using the DIY rotary attachment mentioned in the long laser thread. Just basically a pen mandrel, couple of small plastic pieces and a heavy duty rubber band. Brilliant idea actually as it uses the front to back movement of the work area to rotate the pen blank on the mandrel.
