Three Majestics

It's been a little while since I've posted anything. My wife and I have been building and moving into a new home here in Huntington Harbor, and it's pretty much taken up all of our time. That being said, I did manage to make a few pens in between all of the house duties.

The first two are Full Majestics done in Watch Parts (by Marla), my first watch parts pens. (I am looking at the blue pen sitting on my desk at work right now... trying to decide if I can afford to keep it for myself!).

The third Majestic is a commission done for a repeat customer. He specifically wanted a Curly Koa pen in a satin finish. I would normally prefer a high gloss finish on the Koa to show off the chatoyance, but I think this slightly toned down version came out very nicely. Sorry for the cell phone pics on this one, but my light box was packed away and I just snapped a couple of quick pics before I sent it out.

Also... please forgive the business cards in the Koa pics, these were taken for the customer. I'm not trying to drum up business on this forum.

I'm with Mark. The blue is my favorite, but Koa like that is hard to beat.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. It's funny how I get excited about particular kits or materials for a while then move on to something else. Right now all I want to build is Majestics.

I have a small stack of that Chocolate Curly Koa that I am aching to turn on another kit, this time with a full gloss finish, and all I can think of is the Majestic.
