This my latest no kit style pen using Charlie's (NewLondon88) Dragon's Breath blanks. The pictures really don't do this material justice. The swirling is pretty cool in person. It turned, threaded and finished fantastic. I took some sage advice and made my own RB nib on this one using the same material. I was trying for the Think style pen look, but not bad for a first try. Next time some brass or aluminum mixed in I think. Any and all questions, comments, fart jokes welcome.

Charlie those are awesome blanks.

Looks nice, the nib is a great touch. The blank is cool! I see a face just below the nib threads - sideways with the eyes closest to the nib and a smiling mouth towards the bottom.

Cris, lookin good over here in hotter than heck, Texas. Nice touch on the threaded cap and nib. Yup, hard to describe and show justice to the blank for sure.

Sweet.... What threading did you use on this one? Triple start or one of the Fine singles?

Mike,
I am kicking myself for not jumping on the Group buy, but I couldn't swing the cash outlay. I use a 1/2 x36 tap and die fopr the cap/barrel and the M 10x1 for the threaded tenon on the nib. It's a single start, but if you ream the thread out just right, you will be able to eliminate the 4,000 turns to close by at least 3,994 or there about. This one closes with 2 turns.

Cris, very nice work, Sir.
The blank is nice, but you have done a fine job on the shaping and threading,
and your craftsmanship shows a great piece of work! wow!

That is one beautiful pen with extremely fine craftmanship.

I was at my great grandmother's 100th birthday the other day. We all stood around her as she sat in her chair to get a picture of the event. Suddenly granny started leaning way over to the left but someone grabbed her and sat her upright. She then started leaning over to the right but, again, someone caught her and sat her upright. When she began to lean forward they caught her and sat her back. I finally asked, "grandma, are you OK"? She said she was fine but would be a lot better if everyone would just let her fart.

There, you have your fart joke. And, this is only a joke and does not reflect any real circumstances for those of you that don't recognize it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I told Charlie that I was not much the production turner, It takes some doing just to get the man cave time. Thanks for the fart jokes, who says that a little trouser cough humor isn't funny.
