Thanks Seamus for the mesquite blanks

I finally finished some pens for friends/relatives and got to this wood from Seamus. I cut it to show the sap wood and a bit of reddish wood near the end. The red is better in person than in this image. It looks interesting, colorful and it pleases me each time I see it. What do you think?

I have more of it and look forward to the chance to make another with the rest.

Nice pen. The gold harward accents the sapwood nicely. This Seamus character you mention.....the name sounds familiar..........didn't he used to make pens back in the day?
