I think the wood is Buckeye filled with a nice rich blue aluminite. This pen was a pleasure to turn. Finished with three coats of CA, wet sanded to 12000 MM, then Plastix polish.

Great looking pen. I got a blank from him too. I turned it last week but keep forgetting to get pics of it. I will get it done today.
