Looks like lava flowing from the wood....very cool!

What kind of 'wood' is it? Think I see some spalting.......

Clyde, as I have told you on the phone, the pen looks great!

For more info, the wood is spalted Texas Elm (Ulmus crassifolia) that I spared from a horrible demise through a gigantic wood grinder on a road construction site!

Great job on the pen. I really like the color resin with the wood too. Kit is a nice fit to that blank.
