I purchased some of the nicest Texas mountain laurel root blanks from Curtis. They were all ww blanks with patches of alumilite. I finally got around to doing one for myself. Polished to 12k mm then topped off with ca/blo ten polished again to 12k mm. The kit is woodcrafts version of the baron. I had heard so much talk of they're being the same pen so i had to find out for myself. Besides a few cosmetic differences they are the same pen. I'm also still working on the photography. all comments welcome.

That's a nice looking blank and pen Alex. Your photo is looking good. It could be a little sharper, but I think that may be more to do with your photo editing software than your focusing.
