Teacher's pen

My son girl friend just stated being a elementary teacher. Anyway I thought I make her a teacher pen. The black is ebony; pink is Pink ivory; and the main area is Birdseye maple. I sanded all the way to 12,000 grit. lacquer finish again finished with 6,000 to 12,000 mm then finished with three coats of renaissance wax.
