Teacher Appreciation Week for my sons teachers...

My son decided that he wanted to make pens or pencils for five of his teachers. Since this is teacher appreciation week at his school he decided that he had to finish them tonight.

From left to right, curly maple, mahogany, mahogany, curly maple pencil, padauk pencil.

Sure was fun working on these with him. He did most of the work, from cutting the blank, to drilling, gluing, squaring turning and finishing. In the end I turned one tube of the mahogany after he blew out his fourth one. He is getting there for a 13 year old!
