study in wood grain

My continued study of wood grains resulted in this zebrawood pen and pencil set. The second picture shows the board from which the pen blanks were cut. The way the light catches the cross grain in the pencil makes it look unrelated to the long grain pen.

Very nice !!!! sometimes i spend more time looking at a piece of wood to find the pen blank in it than i do making the pen
