The attached photo is off a Baron dressed in Strawberry Wood (Arbutus unedo) the colouring is very subtle

Nice work, I've never heard of this wood.

We have loved the Strawberry Tree ever since planting one in the garden of our first house.

We have since planted one in the gardens of all our subsequent houses, indeed our current garden has one, it is now about 9 years old.

I had never seen the wood though.

Thanks guys this pen has now been sold so it didn't even make the display case :)

The original idea was to make bud vase's from the branches of the strawberry wood but they were difficult to dry without them splitting, I rescued this piece from the fire basket :eek:

I am now carefully turning the rest of the strawberry into pen blanks.
