This pen caused me to pull my hair out. I bought blanks with the brass tubes already in them. The ID of the 8MM was undersize & my bushings would not fit. (I checked the bushings with a caliper & they were the correct size) so I decided to drill the tube out with a Letter "L" bit. The tube twisted & came out. No problem; I just glued the tube that came with the kit in it's place. Turning & assembly went ok until I put the cap nut in it's place in the upper tube. It just slid in the tube with no resistance. Hopefully some epoxy will hold it in place, but I am worried about selling this pen. Anyone else ever have similar experience? Will the epoxy hold ok?

Most of the pre-drilled blanks I have seen are either 7mm (slimline), 10mm (Cigar) or the occasional 27/64 (Mesa and clones). Just because I have not seen it does not mean you did not have an 8mm pre-drilled and tubed blank, but the rest of your story sounds like it was a 7mm pre-drilled item.
