I started with a Jr Gent 1 Modified main tube with a 7/16 stretch using 5/32d
tubing,the center band is from another kit (not sure it was in the "extra stuff
cup" it is slightly larger and did not require the tapering to fit around the outside of the tubes.
the end tubes are 5/16th sections of the original Jr tube .
It was all put together and drilled enough for the refill to be inserted.
the inside of the tubes were filed down enough to reveal just a touch of color when backpainted.
After adding the tape I used both brown and black to add patina to the pen as well as the hardware.An additional spacer was added to the rear of the refill to compensate for the extra length.

I like the look of the pen but its tough to see with those backrounds. Maybe just a plain white or grey backround would really make the pen stand out.

I agree, I wanted to see the details looks like a cool design, but couldn't with the background, as Derek mentioned, use a plain one with few close ups for details
