Got hooked on the old Chrysler torsion bar idea. This one has a flat spring, the other is cosmetic, that controls the rod that enters the cap portion. It holds the pen instrument inside. The aluminium center is a piece that was thrown in the trash four times when it refused to accept solder. Now it is surrounded by brass, springs and friction. It got ugly before Skie told me not to drill holes until the length of the rod was identified. It sports a Cross refill. The to[p has me perplexed. I do not like it yet it holds the top of the ink refill tube and has the hole in it to hold it in place. It writes real nice and has a good balance.
