Wondering why you put the rusty lag screws in the picture !!!! :biggrin:

Thanks for replying. I am fascinated by watch part blanks. I guess one has to find a source of OLD watches. Can you tell me approx. how many old watches you need to get enough parts for the pen you made ? And another thing ... I assume you have to glue the watch parts onto the (painted?) brass tube. Any problem with being able to see glue residue after the pen is finished ? Thanks

AS far as watch parts go. I bought a bag of them off of eBay. Just search watch parts. I have learned by experience to be careful with the glue. I also take a q-tip with acetone to touch up any excess and clean up the parts before I cast. Need to be careful or the parts will fall off. I've only done a few, and have several ones that didn't work out, but everyone I do is getting better..

A good source for watch parts is redroosteruk.com. I use 5 min clear epoxy on all my steampunk ironclad watch blanks. Once it dries. No worries any parts falling off.

Nice job on the pen. Looks great
