Sir Don Ward and I traded some time ago and I finally got around to turning the first pair of blanks. Rhodium/Black Titanium Statesman formally outfitted in snakeskin cast by the master:

These blanks are an absolute joy to turn. This pen was turned exclusively with a 1" skew after which I spent a mere few minutes wet sanding with MM from 1500 -->> 12000 and buffed out with a topcoat of plastic polish.
Thanks Don. I'm elated!

You're welcome Gary. You did a great job with that set of blanks. I'm thrilled that you are pleased with my part in this great looking pen. It's fun to cast them, more fun to turn them, but the most fun is knowing that someone else had fun making a great looking unique snake pen. I look forward to seeing the next set.

I'll bet Gary is in the shop turning that other set at this very minute.[:D]

Do a good turn daily!
Don

Don got me addicted to these as well. My dentist bought my last one right out of my pocket so have to make a few more. I make mine scales down. Should we start a poll? Scales up or scales down? Nice job to both of you.
