I started on some gifts. The 308 casing pens are for the son. He is a former Marine and now in Law Enforcement so I thought he would get a kick out of these. Left one is brass with Cocabola (SP?) end grain top, the right one is nickel plated with Maple top. The middle for daughter it is Sapelle with maple knot cut at 60 degrees. I'm still learning so this year they get the practice ones. I got a few more to go and a couple of bandsaw boxes.

Thought I would share.

Norm,
Great lookin' pens! That Sapelle/Maple knot looks superb.
And, your upper barrel on the casings is shaped nicely. Familiar too. [:D]
Since you asked, it's Cocobolo.
Keep up the great looking work. [8D]
