I was planning on turning two slimlines for each of my cousins visiting Chicago since they had asked me to make them pens, but I only had time to turn one before they left. Luckily, my younger cousin got attached to another pen I had made!

The pen is made from Stardust Poetic Purple and Ziricote wood. I just love the look of the stardust blanks from exotic and it pairs so nicely with the Ziricote wood if I do say so myself! Hope ya like it!

Nice Pen, Avi.
Interesting Combination of Acrylic Lower and Ziricote Upper.
What Finish did you use on the Ziricote?
Is that a chip in photo #4 in the Ziricote?
Good Fit, and Finish on the Acrylic.
Congratulations,
Brian.

Thank you, Brian!
The ziricote actually did not have the chip, but the acrylic did. I posted about my 7mm transmission insertion fail earlier this week about this very pen. The ziricote was finished with Mylands High Friction Polish. That's been my go to wood finish for the most part. I just bought a laundry list of other finishes to test out my preferences. A large dowel from Home Depot and some time on the lathe and I'll test them all out!
