Sweet. Did you CA over top the stamps before casting?

Yes, I did. The resin will eat them up if I don't. What I have discovered is some stamps (the reds ones mostly) are very sensitive to the polyester resin. Also, the older stamps are very fragile too. The CA protects them. I find that the cancelled Washington 2 cent stamps are about 1930 vintage. When you think about it, that pushing 85 years old - so it's really just an old scrap of paper.

I've been using mid-twentieth century stamps because I like the single color look.

Any ideas on finding old stamps? I'm guessing garage sales. I want to stay away from stamp sellers who want to hook you by sending stamps "On approval" I seem to remember seeing some in a hobby shop I get to occasionally. EBAY? Any other ideas?

Should have looked at EBAY before posting -- lots on there with fair prices.

I bought a cigar box full of them about a year ago for like $8 and there were hundreds...if not thousands! Really old with mainly vintage U.S. stamps, but also some from around the world. Don't spend too much
