Started this over the weekend and finished it up early this morning. The inserts in this nickel silver pen are left over from a piece of material chosen by a client some months ago -- each rotation of the pen presents another burst of color. The finial is made from the same material, nestled in a pocket in the cap.

Thanks for looking!
Doug

Nice variation on a theme. Looks great. One day I'm gonna invest in a CNC too.
Have you figured out how to round the ends of the inserts yet?

It's just a matter of figuring out the math, and smart people could do it in a heartbeat. If I wind up doing many more of these "slotted" barrels, I'll take the time to work it out.

Thanks for the kind comments!

Oh, she's chunky! Uncapped it weighs 45 grams, capped 72. While I personally like heavy pens, I know a lot of people don't. I figure this one can double as a personal protection device! :)

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone.
