I've been mulling over colors and material posibilitiess for this test blank from Creative Dimensions. Here are some of the combos I played with. Was going for the tie dye look. The wife said to finish it in it's natural color.

So we compromised...

After a lot of himing an hhawing I chose a color, made an applicating tool, put a long needle tip on my thick CA, apllied a thin coat of Ren Wax to raised surfacess and went to work. Finished off with 8 coats of CA. Not the greatest pics but pleased with results.

Notes: Fill work would be a bit easyer with a slightly oversized blanks and deeper etching. The blank could then be turned or sanded to final size. Of course this would "NOT" have been an issue if I'd just used paint instead of glitter....

Great work guys!!!! Now to get started on the next one...I think paint this time:rolleyes:

Thanks all... Next one on deck is a Fleur-de-Cav. I'm also working on a faux brik finish...These are some awsome blanks which incite creativity...
