This turned out better than expected . Stabilized with Cactus Juice and black dye. As you can see it didn't absorb much dye, just enough.

Dave, that's an awfully nice looking pen, you got a great finish coat on it. What is the name of this kit, and is it a click pen? If it is, how well does it work, what kind of reputation does it have?

Thanks Len, it's a Woodriver Wrench kit pen from Woodcraft. I can't speak for the durability of the kit, it's only the second one I made. It is a click pen. The first one I made was for our shop mechanic at work , he loved it.
