After I had the pieces of Persimmon wood sawed into boards, I decided to rip one into pen blanks. Then I decided to make a one piece pencil out of a piece as an experiment. I am pleased with the results. This will be my personal pencil. I turned it haflway down and then put a coat of thin CA on it and turned it some more. Then once I got it to the size I wanted, I then put another coat of thin Ca and sanded it wet. All the dark spots are the natural dust left from the worms. I finished it with 8 coats of BLO/CA.

Also pictured is a piece of the same wood. Hope you enjoy.

Dang, that looks crazy cool! Nice work, I can relate to the difficulty of having to stabilize the worm dirt as you turn in down to size. I deal with that on Mesquite. Great Job again.
