"Designer" kit in gold-plate from Penn State Ind. (Mont-Blanc like).

The wood is a piece of spalted maple that I picked up from Woodworkers Source in Arizona. It was a bit crumbly (not stabilized). It was not exactly easy to turn. (Mostly used a spindle gouge, then, finished very carefully with a skew before sanding).

Finish is CA glue/BLO, with a final polish of furniture paste wax.

I gave it to one of my co-workers as a Christmas present.

Cheers!

Good job! I know how hard it is to turn a good spalted maple pen because of the wood being punky. You made a really nice pen.
