Here are 2 views of an Atlas Pen I turned from some Spalted Maple I received in a trade with Billy Burt. I sent the blanks to River Ridge Products and had them stabilized. Well worth the small fee charged.:D

Nice looking pen. The wood looks excellent. Personally, I am not much for the atlas kits, but you did a great job. Thanks for sharing.

Your work is very nice and the wood beautiful. Yes, stabilization is a must with some woods. RR saved a big batch of big leaf maple burl for me with the process. The Atlas style isn't my choice but I compliment your work and choice of woods.
