Having purchased some wood from this fine fellow out in California (Nolan) I finally got around to turning it, This has to be THE MOST DIFFICULT wood I've ever worked with, but I'm going to get some more, First is a gun metal 7mm Euro, and next is a gunmetal Cigar, These were one of those keep the wood soaked with CA type woods, but my pictures really can't capture the subtle colorings in this wood. comments and critiques welcome

Lupe, there were quite a few soft spots around the spalting, while the rest was pretty hard for being sapwood, so it tried to catch a lot, it also left a lot of rough cut places that needed constant flooding with CA. Along being skew challenged they were hard to turn, but I gotta get more of the wood from Nolan it's just beautiful in person.
