spalted elm

This is a mofified soft grip from some spalted elm I cut. I was trying for a perfect match with no centerband but I don't think I will get that good. You have to take out some wood even with a band saw. I have some of these blanks for trade in the classifieds.

The wood looks great, and you did a pretty good job matching the grain. I don't know how much better you can get since you're going to always lose wood when you cut it. Thanks for sharing the pics!
