Allan had been playing with some epoxy fill so I pulled out this spalted dogwood blank with an ungodly big rift through the middle, saved for just this eventuality. I cleaned it up and had him do the fill with "Aztec Gold" color in it. It turned quite nicely and the fill, whick is outlined in a dark rim next to the light colored patch fit right in to the color sceme and fit entirely in the barrel of the pen. It made this lazy meandering stripe that went from end to end and back.
