Spalted Crabapple Success!

This was my biggest challenge yet.....thanks Louis and thanks to everyone that gave advice to me on turning the softer wood. I used the CA stablization method. When I got close to my diameter I soaked the blank with CA, let it dry, then turn some more until I reached my diameter.
This also made a good foundation for the CA finish.....Thanks again.

Also I sold my first pen today to an O2 patient of mine. $32.00 big buckaroos! I know thats probably cheap for some of you but she caught me off gaurd. I wish I'd said $102.00 :biggrin:.

I had to lighten the images to show grain. I cant take a decent picture.

Great looking pen. The copper kit shows off the wood very nicely. BTW a great comeback from your first attempt.
