This is some new wood I bought on Feebay called spalted chocolate Ambrosia. It is kinda muted compared to the sellers picture, so beware of the pictures the sellers take of the blanks on there. They often look much richer and brighter then they are when you get them. The wood is quite hard but has some great spalting patterns in all the blanks I won. This pen has been coated with around 15 layers of CA then sanded with 220 grit wet, then sanded through the micro mesh pads, then polished with Novus heavy and light.
Thanks for takin a gander. Comments bad/good welcome.

I think the guy who sells those blanks doctors them up with mineral spirits or something before he takes the pics. With the ambrosia or spalted blanks you just don't know what you will get when it is turned down either. But that is a sharp pen you have there.
