I rough turned a bowl a while back from a half log of spalted Avocado. I saved a couple pieces of trimmed off wood for making a pen or two. Made this Polaris today with one to see how the wood looked with a finish. I used friction polish on the pen. When I finish turn the bowl I'll most likely use WOP for a better shine. Even so, the pen came out nice in my opinion.
