Spalted Ash

A little basic Slimline to warm up the day. This pen came from an Ash board with one end that was spalted about 8" in, so cut it off and got about 4 blanks out of it.

And to think that 8" of board would likely have been tossed if you hadn't been making pens. Good looking pen... I think black ti. may have looked better but then I'm one of those people that the copper doesn't appeal to.

Wood is great and fit and finish excellent.
I am still not sure about the bright copper look, it just seems to be too bright.
It works well with certain kits and woods.
Just my 2cents...
