I had a customer request a pen with a Southwestern theme. This is what i came up with.
Cocobolo, antler, turqoise acrylic, aluminium and black and red veneers. Finish is CA.

That's a nice looking pen. I like the theme, and looking at it there was something about it that jogged my memory. Then it hit me. It's the same theme that David Yellowhorse has always used in his knife work. Yours of course is not as detailed as his, but if you compare I think you'll agree that the quality, and combination is certainly up there. While Yellowhorse does do silver, him and his some do a large portion of their work with gold or brass. It would be interesting to see how that looks on your interpretation.

I think you did an excellent job in pulling this off. What a great design and execution of it too. Everything looks good on the pen.

Very well executed. The grain is spot on and the proportions are very well balanced. Fantastic. I bet the customer is absolutely thrilled! Thanks for sharing it.
