Being from Southern California, many of the requests I get for a custom pen include the words, Turquoise and Western. So I had a Big Ben kit and tried to put a cowboy spin on this classic, rather masculine office style writing instrument. I Learned a bit about how to do crosses properly...which I didn't. And I learned that thinner is better when adding banding and detail. Thanks for your interest and thanks in advance for your kind words and feed-back.

Wow - fascinating. It's a bit too "busy" for my taste but it has a lot of elements that are neat. Putting the turquoise (trustone?) with the main body looks real "southwesty" along with the banding. Also, the curve in the body below the center band could be refined a bit, but there are folk who prefer that. Well done.

Boy you sure did throw a Lot at that Blank.
The Concept was Great as was the Choice of Materials.
The Truestone, looks Fantastic, to Emphasize The West.
Unfortunately, With your Angled Ring you didn't accommodate the Saw Kerf, hence the slight misalignment.
Also it is a little Bulgy Around the Center band.
That having been said, I love the Striking Look of the Pen, I think it is probably a case of "Lesser Being Better".
Congratulations, and Regards,
Brian.
