This is my son's first solo pen,:bananen_smilies051: He bought the Amboyna burl on e-bay and I got the black Zen for him for his Birthday.:present: It's sanded to 600 then triple-e shined with 3 coats of shella wax. Any suggestions or comments are welcome, as always thanks for looking.
Max.

That is a beautiful pen for the first of many for sure. Isn't it the best when your son takes an interest in your hobby. Both of my son's are making pens now when they can in between work.

My only suggestion would be to buy another lathe, obviously the one you have now is occupied with a pretty talented turner!! Great job!!

Thanks for all of the supportive comments so far, I am sure that once he see's them we will have another AIP member. While the epoxy was drying on the tubes I had him picking and cleaning some worthless wood, and he is starting to give me some ideas.

Beautifully done! You must trust him pretty well to let him learn on that piece.

These things are good relationship builders, great for bonding time.
