My father makes Tiki Faces out of various wood types so I thought Id try to turn one into a pen. Made this awhile back as an experiment. Cant say it was a successful experiment, but fun none the less. This is Made from Jatoba and Alt. Ivory. I made the Ivory sections as a back up to the original plan and after this was turned and tooled so It doesnt lets say, fit! It is a little smaller, not an illusion. Cut all face details with a dremel style tool and different engraving bits. Diamond sections made using a sorby micro spiraling tool. Ive been keeping this one in the dark for awhile, but thought I would share it. CA Finish, perhaps not the best choice, spray or dip would have worked better i do believe. This went out the door to him quick so I took very few photos, and unfortunately these are the best ones, likely why they havnt been posted! Thanks for looking!
