Here are a few of my recent turnings. The first is a segmented cocobolo/maple cigar

I was following RonMc's advice and listening to music while I made those cuts and turned the pens. I did not realize how much it would effect the overall pen design, but it did.[;)]

I have to find out what kind of music you were listening to [:D].
They look really good. I do like the blue you were able to get on the Maple.

Jason,
The blue blank is from woodpenblanks.com from RonMC. I was listening to jazz on that particular day. When your foot starts tapping the creative juices just start flowing.[:D]

Still dont see how you cut that straight.

You're going to make me want to turn a cigar again... and I thought that was impossible, lol

Those started out as 4/4 lumber. I resawed them drum sanded, glued, drilled, mitered, glued, then turned. As much work as they were I plan on doing it all over again, I am a glutton for punishment I guess.[;)] When I see you at the next get together, remind me and I will show you an easy way to do it.

the segments look great. will have to try that someday.
the segments in the first cigar made my eyes [B)]think it was bent alittle.
but on closer look its not bent.

good job on the finish also.

Really, really nice. I think the first one is my favourite. Nice and sharp.[:)]
I've also never seen the second kit before, is that a hex shape on it.
Wish we could get stuff like that here[:(!]
