I thought I'd post a few recent pens. Comments, sarcasm, critiques, and paypal orders accepted.

All of these are made from logs salvaged from the Cape Fear River near WIlmington NC. I got the wood from a company that makes flooring and counter tops from the wood.

Wild cherry burl a friend of mine cut and gave me for Christmas. My prior experiences with cherry burls was not so great, but there was some nice wood in this one. I still have two more to cut up.

Another locally harvested material - antler. These are the ones that I was able to leave some of the 'rough' on.

Wow, I really like the color and grain of the Cape Fear river logs. The wood makes for really nice pens. Thanks for posting.

Really liking those salvaged log one at the very top! And congrats on the 'harvested' pen blanks too!!!
