Some of my pens

I've only made about 15 so far. Here are a few of my "better" ones. Any suggestions are welcome.

Cedar Cigar:

Mesquite Designer that I use daily:

Mystery wood. I got a bunch of rough cut lumber at an estate sale. Most of it looks like Walnut, some cherry and some that I don't know. This one came from some stakes for tents, etc. It has tight grain, fairly dense and turned kinda like maple. Any ideas? I got some bushing dust on the top barrel.

Bat pen for nephew in his school colors. Wood is Crepe Myrtle colored with marker then Varathane. Made with insert from a Bic pen

Very nice pens! The cigar is my favorite. The bat pen is very interesting.

That's a great looking piece of cedar, Jason. And I like the deal with the bat. Can't get a cheaper "kit" than that.[]

they look nice. If i were to turn a cedar pen i wouldnt finish it so you would smell the cedar. My guess for the mystery wood is douglas fir.

What did it smell like when you turned it.

That looks like birdseye cedar. That's a new one on me. You've really got the turning part down and the rest looks pretty good too. Let's see more.
