I am new to turning. My uncle gave me his old lathe for Christmas, and I didn't start playing with it until about a month ago. Here are a few of my first slim lines. I have investigated the "modified" version, but my 7mm bit is a little too short, so will be getting a longer bit soon. Finish is CA glue on all 3. I got the inspiration for the plywood pen from an IAP thread. My uncle taught me the Celtic knot (maple/walnut). Finally the figured pecan that I got off the of the scrap pile, this one is my favorite -- I cut a 1" blank and had no clue the figure would be so beautiful.
