Well, Ben and I were back in the shop yesterday. I got some pretty cool wood scraps from my dad's shop and was eager to get a pen or two turned with it. The first pen is one my son did using what we call "clown wood". It is surprisingly comfortable to write with. The second pen is one I turned using the "clown wood". The third is maple and walnut, and the last is red heart.
I am NOT a fan of the clicker hardware we used in these pens. It has a good spring but the whole mechanism feels...I dunno...too "grindy"...it's hard to explain.
Anyways, once again, my son was eager to use the parting tool and skew, and, once again, he did some really cool things on his pen.
Thanks for looking!
